Note: If your key router
uses WEP (Wired Equivalent Privacy) security, enter its network name
(SSID) and WiFi password.
Connect your WiFi devices to
your Netgear range extender using mywifiext.net login credentials and enjoy the continuous speed of the internet all over
your house.
Connect your Netgear range
extender using Ethernet:
- Plug your Netgear extender into a power source. Make sure that your Netgear device is placed in reach of your key router.
- Connect your range extender to your computer with an Ethernet cable.
- Launch a web browser on your computer.
- Type mywifiext.net or 192.168. 1.250 into your web browser’s address bar.
Note: Use mywifiext
local if you want to connect your Apple or iOS devices with your
home network.
- Press the Enter key on your keyboard.
- Netgear login page will display.
- Enter the default username and password that you chose during Netgear WiFi extender setup process.
- Click on LOG IN.
- Select Setup and then the Wireless Settings option.
- Now, what you have to do, under Security Options, verify that the value in the Network Key (Password) field matches your existing router password. If the it does not matches, change it to your WiFi router password.
- Click on Apply to save the settings.
Reconnect your WiFi devices to
your Netgear range extender and enjoy the extended speed of the
internet throughout the home without any signal breakage.
